The Student Center Edit/Creating Pages with a Semi-Automatic System

The Student Center is where all the articles are created, edited, and posted. Editing a page on PreisdentialElection.com is very simple once you figure out how everything works. Just click on the "edit this page" tab at the top of any page that is an open topic. We use the powerful wikimedia open source platform with our own modifications that give us the "semi-automatic" editing privileges we are looking for.

Instead of having every page open for editing by everyone, as is wikipedia, we have a more controlled and relaxed type of private editing for each individual person.

First, you must become a registered user to even have editing privileges.

Next, you must click on the "Click here to sign up for this topic and detailed instructions” for each topic you want to create a page for. Once you sign up for a particular open topic, an administrator will send your own private link you can create at your own pace.

After you are done with your new page, we will review it internally and once it is approved, we will lock your article and place a permanent link to your article for the world to see. You can participate in as many topics as you like. You must follow the same procedure every time you start a new project. This procedure assures we remain non-partisan on all topics and gives only you control of your own projects.

The Top Navigational Icons Listed on Every Page

The top navigational icons are the power house of this site. When non-partisan information seekers come from all over the world to view content, they can not get to the Student Center, unless they go through the Student Center.

So, once a student completes a non-partisan research project and it is approved, we will lock your contribution article and hyperlink it from our main top icons listed as “Student contributed article”. This article can be for or against a particular issue. All sides of all issues will be displayed.

Most of the top navigational icons are standard HTML pages. However, the student center pages are created in PHP. There is a strategic reason why we do this, but we are keeping this one to ourselves.

Upholding Integrity and Remaining Non-bias and Neutral

Upholding Integrity and Remaining Non-biased and Neutral

Since 1998, we have remained 100% non-biased and non-partisan and we do not have any plans on changing this policy now or anytime in the future.

We understand everyone’s right to free speech but we also believe there is a place and a time for everything. There are a lot of students that use this site. We want them to be assured that this site is a safe place to go any time, day or night, and they will not be subjected to foolishness, derogatory language, or users posting explicit information. There are many sites through which users can participate in heated debates and the use of profanity. If you are looking for that type of activity, there are many places on the Internet that would welcome your participation.

Our children are our future and they need a place where they can feel safe and also be good role models and contribute to the well being of society. Any user caught violating our principles and mission will be locked out and banned instantly. We have a ‘one strike and you’re out’ policy that will ensure the success of those of us who are remaining non-partisan.

Welcome to PresidentialElection.com!

We are so pleased that you have found your way to our site like millions of others over the years! Even though we have been online since 1998, we have listened to students over the years and we have built a working system just for you. This is all new to us, just as it is to you, and we will be growing and expanding over the next few months and years to come. Every idea must start somewhere and we are so pleased that you are a pioneer in this wonderful project that will educate the world for generations.

To get started, just click on the “Open Projects” link on the left navigation bar and follow the instructions until you find something that interests you.

Welcome to the new “PresidentialElection.com” We hope you enjoy your visit.
