Reliance Registered Patent office Heavy Sheeting Defiance Fast Colors. Annin – The name guarantees quality. It’s hard to imagine the actual size of this beautiful banner flag so we placed a couple bicycles under it for comparison. It measures 9 feet wide by 3 feet high. The quality of the right sections are in almost perfect condition for the age. A little light minor dirt stain in the white section but can be cleaned if desired. Original grommets and fringe still in tact. The middle section is in great condition. These banner flags are so big that they had to be folded several times to store them. Also, the top grommet is in the center of the flag and many of these banners were flown in parades. By doing so, they had three people carrying 3-poles (one in the center and one on the left and right sides). This made a great walking flag but it caused a lot of stress in the center. That’s why you will see many of these flags, (if you can even find one) with a tear in the center section. You can see that the lower right grommet is missing in this banner flag. The text on the top is in really good condition. There is a little chipping in the letter “E’s” but other than that, it looks great. The front face view has lots of fading but it looks aged. By the friction of the band poles that held these up, it caused the material to become weak in the face. Noticed the tears in the forehead. You can see the imprint of the parade poles that held this flag up from the top to the bottom. There is also a small “V” tear in the forehead as well. From the back, these tears can be permanently restored if the new owner elects to go that route. The Dwight D. Eisenhower text at the bottom is in excellent shape and we display it with great pride. This is a very rare and hard to find item.
